Kaanapali Beach Access
Kaanapali Beach is lined with resorts, one after the other, and you may wonder if the beach is private.
Not so! Kaanapali Beach, like all beaches in Hawaii, is open to the public.
Resorts have to provide beach access by law.
Apart from that, if you expand the Kaanapali Beach map, you’ll see public beach access paths as well.
One such Kaanapali Beach Public Access Trail is squished between the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa and the Outrigger Kaanapali Beach Resort, and there is a public beach access parking lot as well, but with only a few spots.
Other beach access paths are at Whaler’s Village, between Kaanapali Alii Resort and Marriott’s Maui Ocean Club (off Nohea Kai Drive), and alongside Hyatt Residence Club.
